It is generally known that Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam is a natural commentary on Brahma-Sūtras, but no book has been written before that would show which Bhāgavatam verse corresponds with which sūtra. By authoring Vedānta-Darśana, Śrī Haridās Śāstrī Mahārājjī is the first Gauīya Vaiṣṇava scholar to have undertaken this enormous task.

In the process he made use of Bhāvārtha-Dīpikā, Six Sandarbhas, Bhat-Krama-Sandarbha, Laghu-Krama-Sandarbha, Bhad-Vaiṣṇava-Toaī, Sakepa-Vaiṣṇava-Toaī, Sārārtha-Darśinī, Caitanya-Mata-Mañjuā, Siddhānta-Ratna, Prameya-Ratnāvalī, Vedānta-Syamantaka, Govinda-Bhāya, Sarva-Samvādinī and others.

The book contains Preface, Śruti-Sagraha (listing all śruti statements found in Śrīdhara Svāmī’s Bhāvārtha-Dīpikā), Brahma-Sūtrādhikaraa-Mālikā (index of topics found in Brahma-Sūtra), and the text itself, which starts with Brahma-Sūtra 1.1.1 and its corresponding Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam verses 1.2.7-11 and part of 1.1.1; the verses are also translated into Hindi, and many of them are commented on as well.
